There has only really been scant coverage of this national scandal in the media. Largely it is easier to fall for the propaganda of the sub-prime borrower who foolishly overstretched themselves than to examine the conduct and the motives of these rapacious lenders.
One laudable exception is Richard Dyson’s article published in the Mail on Sunday last June. This is a very revealing read and names directly SPPL amongst others. This has also been floating around for about a year now. A friend has kindly provided the link. It focuses primarily on what might occur if you raise a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman Service over the potential miss-selling of your mortgage or any ‘ancillary’ financial products. A very, very interesting article.
